This Privacy Policy explains how SayItBuddy collects, uses, stores, shares, and deletes information when you use our mobile applications, website, and related services. SayItBuddy is an augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) tool that includes optional accounts, cloud synchronization, subscriptions, and AI-powered sentence suggestions.

When you request AI sentence suggestions, information needed to personalize the request may be sent securely to our server and to our AI service provider. This may include the selected word or phrase, relevant communication-profile details, recent selections, and language preferences. Do not enter information that is not needed for communication support. AI suggestions may be inaccurate and should be reviewed by the user or caregiver.

SayItBuddy is designed to support people with communication needs, including children. Accounts and profiles for a child should be created and managed by a parent, legal guardian, caregiver, educator, clinician, or other authorized adult. The responsible adult controls what information is entered and should provide only information appropriate for the communication purpose. If you believe a child’s information was provided without appropriate authorization, please contact us so we can investigate and delete it.

Some settings and content are stored locally on your device. If you sign in or use cloud features, account, profile, and user-created content may also be stored in our cloud services. We generally retain this information while your account is active and as needed to provide the service. After an account-deletion request is verified, we delete or de-identify associated account and cloud content, subject to limited retention required for security, fraud prevention, legal compliance, dispute resolution, and financial or transaction records maintained by Apple, Google, or other providers.
SayItBuddy uses HTTPS/TLS to encrypt data in transit and relies on access controls and managed cloud services to protect stored data. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. Keep your device and account credentials secure.
You may review or update certain information in the app, manage device permissions, cancel subscriptions through Apple or Google, and request deletion of your SayItBuddy account and associated data. Depending on your location, you may also have rights to access, correct, delete, or obtain information about how your personal information is used.
To delete your account in the app, sign in, open your profile, and choose Delete Account. You may also submit a request through our Account and Data Deletion page.
Our service providers may process information in countries other than the country where you live. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for such processing.
We may update this Privacy Policy as SayItBuddy changes. We will post the updated policy here and revise the effective date. Material changes may also be communicated in the app or by another appropriate method.
